Quality websites… in about an hour

Posted on by Alison Masilak

No one wants to build a website (or visit one) that, well, sucks.

To help make the internet a better place, Lokion’s very own Matt Ladner has developed a workshop on building DIY websites that don’t suck – in one hour – which he presented at a sold-out event sponsored by AIGA Memphis in December.

Ideal for simple brochure websites like professional portfolios, restaurant sites or personal blogs, the workshop provided both a real-world walkthrough of how to build an appealing custom site and a toolkit full of resources that can help anyone, from novice to pro, achieve web greatness with a minimal time investment. Participants were able to take home with them a zipped version of the website created during the session to use as a springboard for building their own sites.

For a glimpse into the tools and techniques covered, view Matt’s presentation on SlideShare.

Stay tuned as Matt plans on evolving the workshop and presenting it again in the future.
